Over the course of two hours, the Germanic-American Insitute was transformed into a participatory immersive/interactive performance space. Every room in the house was activated.

  • Over the course of twenty minutes, the performers enhanced the artwork in each room with gestures, movement or words that related to the pieces in that space.  Gestures illustrated how the armor would be put on, words came off the page of the famous arch of triumph, figures were "raped", prayed or were  married as reprinted by the items in the room. Horses came to life in sound, and the poor queen Sissi was murdered.
  • In the cathedral like hallways of this former factory building, voice performers Artemis Choir moved and sounded the space. On the floor round red mats marked JOY SPOTs or performance places where visitors were encouraged to stand and create their sounds, read from prompts that were placed there and interact with the singers. Blindfolds and a mattress were also offered to enhance the listening experience of the visitors. Over the period of one hour, he singers moved and made many different sound…

    In a three separate squash courts at the Commodore Squash Club in Saint Paul, interactive spaces were created. PIP is about choosing to watch, move, or participate.  Court 1- had texts, joy spots to sing from and balloons that could be moved with antique squash raquets; Court 2 was pitch black and people could watch, blindfold themselves and move or hold flashlights to activate the blindfolded people; Court 3 had multiple projections of dancers that could be manipulated with mirrors and dancers…
