Tom Reynen is a digital photographer living in Shoreview, MN. His work has been exhibited in a number of local shows and galleries. His photographs have been published in the Travel and Home & Garden sections of the Minneapolis StarTribune newspaper and he has won numerous awards at local art shows and two national photography contests. He has also exhibited at the St Paul Art Crawl and at Art-A-Whirl in Northeast Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Home & Garden show. His work is for sale online and at several locations in Minnesota including the AZ Gallery in Lowertown, St Paul.
Tom is past president and a curernt board member of the St Paul Art Collective. The St Paul Art Collective (SPAC) is a non profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in St Paul. It runs the spring and fall St Paul Art Crawls which each draw 30,000+ to visit 300+ artists in 28 buildings throughout the city.
Tom is Vice-President of Gallery 96, a non-profits arts organization which promotes art in a variety of media by artists in the northern St Paul MN suburbs.
Tom is a member and treasurer of the AZ Gallery, an artists’ cooperative in the Lowertown neighborhood of St Paul. Prior to his role at AZ Gallery, he was the manager of the Mill District Arts Gallery on Washington Ave in Minneapolis for 16 months. He is also a member of the Twin Cities Photography Group and has taught classes there.
In 2013, Tom was part of a three member team that was awarded a $3000 Irrigate grant to create a photo exhibition called 9 Stops which documents the changes in the neighborhoods surrounding 9 stops of the new Central Corridor light rail line. The exhibition ran February 7 – 24, 2013 at the AZ Gallery. Tom was also involved in the ceremonies for launch of the Green Line on June 14, 2014.
