Time Track Productions mission is to explore the
relationship between media and humanity using
movement and live performance as a foundation.
Working from an historical perspective we seek to blend
ideas about the past, present and future through the
lens of contemporary technology and performance.

These, unfortunately, include such questionable icons as the "Samba Sirens," the "Moonlight Sharklets," the "BusyBusy's," the "Trollettes" and the "Crone Jewels." Portions of this work appeared as a work-in-progress in our 2002 Fringe Festival show entitled "They Were All Outa Step...Except Cousin Ernie."The completed suite is premiering April 24 - 27, 2003, at Intermedia Arts.
Dancers wrestle through physical and emotional entwinements exploring unspoken passions and needs. Slippery and elusive, the dance unfolds in a charged atmosphere of intimacy and risk to a new score by composer Scott Killian.
Who will control what you see?Slightly Ajar explores these questions in an evening of dance and performance, conceived and choreographed by Miriam Colvin. The evening has been shaped through the collaboration of a core cast and crew of women. The production broaches issues of access and perception, calling on the members of its audience to reconsider the foundations of what they know. What are you really watching when you turn on the nightly news? Who do you go to when you want to know more? Why do you assume that you will be given what you ask for? The evening combines original dance, visual art, video and sound score. By expanding the boundaries of the stage to include the entire building, Slightly Ajar transforms Patrick's Cabaret into a two-story installation performance piece. A true collaboration, Slightly Ajar joins some of the Twin Cities' most innovative artists to create a challenging, but playful reminder:You cannot open every door. You will catch a glimpse. All assumptions are subject to change.
Performers would sign up for a spot to showcase their form of improvisation, much like an open mic, then participate together in a longer improvisation based on a given theme at the end of the show. Although always artistically satisfying, the series never quite took off the way I wanted it to and I discontinued it.

video: "Don't Move So Big"
Legendary Greek heroes wrestle with only modestly placed fig leaves for protection. Scantily clad saints suffer their martyrdom with gorgeous style. Stoic cherubs watch, aroused satyrs frolic and the three muses inspire. Influenced by the depiction of nudes in painting and sculpture, this collection of dances lays bare the various relationships between creators and their creations. This concert contains partial nudity…and a lot of creative draping!
