Contemporary Art 101: Curator of Education Scott Stulen lectures on Contemporary Art history, movements, theories, and artists in a relaxed and open atmosphere the first Thursday of each month. This class provides historical and theoretical context for the artwork of our time. Each session will present a different theme and group discussion is encouraged.

Graffiti and Urban Culture in Contemporary Art From the New York Graffiti artists spray painting subway cars in the early 1980’s to the vinyl toy craze of the present the influence of street artists pervades contemporary art in galleries, stores, online, and print publications. In this session we will examine the stylistic roots, practitioners, and future of graffiti art.
