Photographs in the Dark Light Series are intended to create the feeling of a walk on a clear night. Subjects familiar during the day are recreated with the clarity of memory and in a rarified nocturnal atmosphere. The series was made entirely in the Twin Cities area, with the majority of photographs made along the Mississippi River in and near downtown Minneapolis.

The Dark Light photographs are paper negatives created using potato chip tins as cameras. There is no digital manipulation.
