Minnesota State Arts Board Gallery: The Art of Recovery 5
The exhibition runs from April 11 through June 30

This collection contains art by five members of mnartists.org who are among the 16 artists exhibiting visual and literary works in The Art Of Recovery 5 at the Minnesota State Arts Board Gallery. The art on view has been created by persons who have been victims of crimes and used art as a tool for healing the emotional pain that followed in the wake of their experiences.

Although most of the examples collected here are NOT in the exhibition, they do offer the viewer an overall sense of the artists/ works. The exhibition opened April 11th and runs through June 30th. This year, the exhibition is part of the St. Paul Art Crawl - which happens the weekend of April 25th to the 27th. On those days, the gallery will be open with extended hours. After the show closes in St. Paul, selections from it will become part of a traveling exhibition that will be presented at other locations in Minnesota.
