HERE: An exhibition of book art and works on paper by Minnesota GLBT artists

In conjunction with GLBT Pride events across the Twin Cities, Minnesota Center For Book Arts (MCBA) is hosting a juried exhibition of artists' books and works on paper created by Minnesota GLBT artists.

Works by 14 artists are on display in the Open Book Lobby from May 10 through June 29, 2008. Submissions were juried by MCBA staff and artists affiliated with the center. The project was coordinated by Jeff Rathermel, MCBA's Artistic Director.

About Minnesota Center for Book Arts: As the largest and most comprehensive center of its kind in the nation, Minnesota Center For Book Arts celebrates the book as a vibrant contemporary art form that takes many shapes. MCBA is located in the Open Book building in downtown Minneapolis, along with The Loft Literary Center, Rosalux Gallery and Milkweed Editions.

A note about this collection: This collection offers a sampling of works by artists included in the exhibition who are also members of mnartists.org. While the works featured here are NOT in the exhibition itself, they offer an introduction to the art of several of the participating artists.
