State of the Art, curated by Steve Dietz, is an exhibition at the Carleton Art Gallery, opening November 5, 2003.

The show is part of the Digital Arts Festival at Carleton and related to a class that Steve Dietz is teaching with Justin Bakse, Art After New Media.

Minnesota has a strong community of new media artists, and State of the Art looks at some Minnesota-based projects dealing with issues of mapping, narrative, gaming, and computational aesthetics.
