When I set out to assemble this collection, I assumed most of the work I chose would be paintings. But when I began to search for work, I realized that I was drawn to photography and sculpture as much as painting and drawing. I did not seek out a theme with this collection, though I noticed trends appearing. With a few exceptions, landscape and architecture are the protagonists in the works I selected. Some artists I knew before I set out to put together a collection, and others just attracted me.
