The Textile Center of Minnesota presents the tenth annual Artwear in Motion fashion show, which showcases original wearable art pieces from over 60 fiber artists and fashion designers hailing from Minnesota and beyond. This year’s Artwear event will highlight cutting-edge innovation – both on and off the runway. And speaking of the runway show… you can expect elegance, design outlandish and lovely, fantastic music, and over 150 beautiful garments. What: Artwear in Motion 2006 Where: Bloomington Center for the Arts When: Saturday, October 21 from 5-9 pm  And one more thing… In addition to Artwear in Motion, everyone is invited to participate in Behind the Seams, a week of Artwear at the Textile Center running from October 23-28. The runway garments will be available for viewing up close in the Textile Center Joan Mondale Gallery, where they will also be for sale the week following the show. Visitors can also see the runway artists from the show demonstrating how they work and catch a glimpse how “artwear” is born.
