The interaction between an architect and client is one of my earliest impressions of architecture. Listening to my father speak to clients structural, aesthetic, and functional desires and these understandings have affected my interest in creating a space where people feel safe, secure and satisfied.
The main influence in my study of architecture has been Frank Lloyd Wright. His investigation of American family and designs suitable to their needs and the examination of public and private space within a home have contributed to my interest in architecture. His Usonian homes, use of natural materials contribute to the sense of unity his surroundings provide.
To create and construct something from concept is what drives my interest in architecture. Schooling has provided an opportunity to witness many samples of successful and unsuccessful architectural design and concepts. With those influences I intend to produce work that can be used to its fullest potential and creates a sense of pride and comfort for the person within it.
