Wayne attended the University of Minnesota and graduated from The School of the Associated Arts, later known as the College of Visual Arts.
After a two year hiatus with the Marine Corps and a trip to Vietnam, he began his career in commercial art and design.

He has been accepted into many fine art shows, including the Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts competition, Arts in Harmony, Shows at the Paramount in St, Cloud, Grand Marais Plein Air Festival and has won numerous awards.
Along with the competitions, Wayne has been featured in one-man shows along with participation in multi-artist group events.
