I began creating art with Line Rider in 2007 and have continued that endeavor to this day. I have directed, produced, collaborated on, recorded, and edited numerous Line Rider projects in addition to my solo works.
I have also experimented with other mediums and styles of art (usually digital), most frequently while getting my bachelor's degree from 2010 to 2014.
I adminstrated and moderated I Ride the Lines 2008-2009 and then founded, adminstrated, and moderated We Ride the Lines 2009-2016. I also ran contests, facilitated collaborations, and other community-building endeavors. Finally, I created the Line Rider Archival Project 2016-2017: https://www.patreon.com/posts/line-rider-12139236
I frequently wrote reviews and critque of Line Rider tracks 2007-2015. In late 2015, my critique took the form of livestream video co-reviews, which can all be found here:
I made a video compilation / spoken word piece in February 2017 to tell the story of my decade of creating art in Line Rider:
I am a digital artist with most of my working experience in sound, video, and lighting design and tech work for theater.
My main artistic endeavor is creating works using an artistic tool known as Line Rider.
My goal is to elevate Line Rider from a silly time-wasting internet toy to an art medium combining choreography, animation, and line art. I aim to create video art with Line Rider that resonates with the viewer. All of my work lives publicly on the internet, so I am entirely dependent on my Patreon for support in my endeavor.
Most of the art I create is, to put it midly, atypical, and thus does not fill well into a gallery setting, a grant proposal, or a film festival. Therefore, despite having work spanning over a decade (in many cases widely recognized by the Line Rider community and even the internet public on various platforms) I do not have much of what you might call "real world experience". The art I make is published on the internet without any sort of a paywall, and (newly as of 2015) supported through Patreon subscriptions.
