Ken Bowling has been an artist his whole life. His work is primarily made up of sculptural pieces using metal, cardboard, and felting materials with some paintings using watercolor and ink. Material exploration drives his work as he uses recycled materials and pushes to find new ways to create his vision. He describes his process as one of trial and error that requires patience.
Inspired by his time on the road with his father running semi trucks, Ken’s work often depicts trucks, road scenes, and home in relation to trucking. His dad was a truck driver for fifty-two years and remains a significant influence in his work. Ken hopes to continue showing his work and expand the audience of his art over time to reach more people.
