Ruthann Godollei is the DeWitt Wallace Professor of Art at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has exhibited her prints, drawings and animations internationally, incorporating political and social commentary. Her prints have been included in exhibits such as Nasty Women, Knockdown Center NYC 2017, the 2016 Eastcoast Screenprint Biennial, Political/Poetical, the International Print Triennial, Tallinn, Estonia, the 2014 Biennial Douro, Alijó, Portugal, the 9th Biennale internationale d’estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada, 2015 and the Delta Small prints National 2016. She has been a 7-time resident artist at the Frans Masereel Centrum for printmaking in Belgium. Her work is in many international collections.
My prints are in dialogue with the long tradition of cultural commentary in the graphic arts, drawing on print's ability to dramatize, disseminate ideas through multiples and encourage thought and discussion.
