When I look at art in any setting, I pick the piece apart and try and see how it was made and what it is made from. I try to see the meaning of the piece to the artist or what the artist wants the public to see. I enjoy discussing with others my ideas on pieces of any kind, looking deeper than just the surface value. When doing so I tend to lose myself in the artwork, I feel as if I'm in another world when discussing art. I become hypnotised by every brush stroke, every fingerprint, every surface that exists.
Art allows me to shut the rest of the world out, yet at the same time bring the world in. I’m able to process everything around me better, when I have clay in between my fingers or a pencil in my hand. I feel every emotion at once and at the same time none at all. I’m at total peace when surrounded by art.
When I start on a new project, I begin with imaging the project in my head, every detail comes to life in my mind, that's when I start drawing and researching different ways to go about the project. Once I have the begining ideas and forms down on paper, I get to work.
