Nancy Nowacek is an interdisciplinary working with the body at the intersection of digital technologies and the built environment, the regulation of the natural environment, and the forms of behavior and choreography embedded within. She creates participatory platforms, images, and objects that engender a sense of agency in an increasingly uncertain world and forge new imaginaries of power. She has been supported by residencies and fellowships from Eyebeam, the Jerome Foundation, Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program and Recess. Her work has been shown in North America, Europe and South America. She prefers laughter.
