I am an artist, residing in Rogers MN. Before attending college, I studied art full time through the Atelier system for 2 years, after receiving part time instruction for an additional 4 years. I specialize in classical oil painting, but I dabble in other arts including, sewing, quilting, apparel design, fiber arts, drawing, woodworking, minor clay work, jewelry making, etc. I have a great love for all things classical and vintage. The majority of my paintings are inspired by the desire to capture the fleeting beauty of the world around us in a more enduring form. I take great delight in the visual world and desire to share it with others. My endeavors in the other artforms are less serious and tend to come from a playful desire to create and have fun with tactile things. I have a strong family life and spend much of my time within a tight knit group of family and friends, but I like to talk to most anyone. As a person, I tend to come off as reserved…until I have coffee, which is kind of my life's blood. In college I also developed a slight addiction to knitting, which I love. My art flows into my job, as I am the social media manager for a small store in Maple Grove, and the resident seamstress.
