  • The beauty of a walk in the snowy woods brings me back to my younger years.  The pristine nature of snow flakes piled on the ground or on the boughs of fresh pine make me grateful to be alive. This painting is one of my largest and has many coats of gels, glazes and other acrylic finishes.
  • Colorful fish in a stream have always been intriguing to me. The overhanging dark branches provide an opportunity for depth and abstraction. The water and fish, done in complementary colors, provide shapes and movement in the piece.
  • This piece was commissioned by a couple in Plymouth, MN - it took approximately 60-90 days to complete. It is done with bright colors and lots of lights. My largest work. I am able to produce similar paintings on a commissioned basis.
  • A walk around Lake Calhoun in south Minneapolis is a favorite place to the public - even in the winter. The early morning sun colors the sky an appealing peach.
  • This painting was done after a visit to the Mississippi River just north of Nicollet Island in NE Minneapolis. The water was starting to flow, though a lot of ice remained. One of my "cool" cityscapes with colors in the blues and darker tones.
