  • Silver Clay – Torch Firing        1 day Sunday, August 18, 4:00 - 9:00 pm Learn the art of torch firing silver metal clay to create jewelry and silver artwork without the necessity of a kiln. This amazing process enables students to create one-of-a-kind silver pieces in just 4 hours. Materials fee $50 payable on day of class. Additional clay can be purchased.     Intro to Etching         1 day Thursday, August 15, 6:00 - 9:30 pm This class will introduce intaglio printing. Even for beginners, this etching method allows detailed and beautifully printed ink images with little effort.     Fused Glass Jewelry                2 weeks Thursdays, August 1 & 8, 6:30 - 9:30 pm Make dazzling fused glass pieces with a variety of colorful and dichroic glass. The assembled glass will then be kiln fused. Once fired, the following week you will learn to drill in glass, use findings and small embellishments to turn your fused pieces into pendants, pins, or earrings.   • Sculptural Paper Arts             3 weeks Thursdays, June 13 - 27, 7:00 - 9:30 pm Through folding, cutting, weaving, layering, and gluing, explore transformative and versatile properties of paper. Using a variety of different paper materials, participants will discover ways to manipulate and turn paper into an array of small 3-dimensional art forms.
