Blackout

Performed at Patrick's Cabaret, October 16-17th, 2003, this piece challenged the notion of the audience as passive performers by being performed entirely in the dark. The theme of disconnectedness was emphasized when Jaime phoned her mother and had a conversation, after which the audience talked to the performer and one another. To be repeated elsewhere soon, with minor changes...
72 Virgins in the Afterlife; Answers to Questions You Didn't Ask

These pieces were 10 minute political performaces at the Brooklyn Lyceum, winter 2002. They featured a slightly-traumatized little girl and her pet cat, Frisky (a stuffed animal who absorbs her abuse and love). If I had stayed in NYC, these piices would have been developed into a one-hour show.
