This time 7 weeks in Ohio. It was fun!Me as Nikki, the not so super, super-hero. I never thought I'd be good at comedic character acting, but NTC has given me the chance to try it out, improve my comedic timing, and actually love it! I love making people laugh, and a laughing kid is the coolest thing ever!

image: rubber chickens are cool!

image: this is a rubber chicken!
"SHOCKZILLA" National Theatre for Children

This is the job I currently hold. It's a blast. Me and my partner, John, drive from town to town in northern Minnesota doing an educational show on electricity for elementary schools. Right now we are in Crookston, but we've been to Brainerd, Virginia, Hibbing, International Falls, Ely, and many others. Everything, sets, costumes, props, fit into a box in the trunk of our Neon (not the car for Minnesota winters if you would like to know).I love working with kids. They're always funny, and engaged, and keep me on my toes! One thing I love about this gig is that every school is different and as an interactive show you have to be ready for anything! I play Vesta Gator, the character you follow through the show, and John plays all the characters Vesta encounters (boy, can he change fast! part of the job description!)This tour is about 10 weeks, so we'll be on the road until April 9th. We get to be home (Minneapolis) on the weekends, though. Antony (my African Spur Thigh Tortois) likes that :).

image: The kids love John, too!
