The work is colorful, alive, and happy. Whether viewed from side to side or up and down, the composition always leads the eye back to the center, to "home." Moreover, the triptych format allows the three panels to be linked but separate, like a neighborhood. The panel on the left represents family and expresses closeness, happiness, and laughter. The one on the right depicts community and symbolizes the richness of cultural diversity and the importance of fair housing practices, regardless of a person's ethnicity or income.
