The Lesson

Thus, after much contemplation and collaboration, we decided to tak Ionesco's Lesson to the next level: MTV. The absurd repetition seemed reminiscent of the flashing imagery and simple plot lines you might find in a music video. The song: "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who (just as over dramatic as the play).

image: I have a toothache

image: ...uvulate, fricate, vibrate...

image: I don't need you Marie

image: That's good politics
I enjoy juxtaposing the scientific perceptions and the more emotional or sensory perceptions of time travel through my works.Along similar lines I explore the idea of people making active versus passive choices to live in the past, present, or future. The simplicity of outlines and silhouettes in my artwork reflects the seeming simplicity of these choices, while frames of mottled gray represent their inherent complexity. Often, the combination of these elements creates ambiguous scenes that wait for interpretation from the viewer.

image: Day 1 of 31

image: Day 2 of 31

image: Day 3 of 31

image: Day 4 of 31
