This wicker tray is woven with round reed, which is the pith of rattan.&#xD;&amp;#8226; "Iris" comes with a 1/4" glass insert with a pencil cut.  The glass protects the painting, while allowing you to functionally serve your guests.&#xD;&amp;#8226; All of my trays offer multiple uses: serving, decorative and altars etc.&#xD;&amp;#8226; The Japanese painting technique is Nihonga.  Nihonga is a two-brush method used when painting on surfaces that are hard, smooth and less absorbent than paper and silk.       <title>Swan Screen/stool/basket</title>

And although my hands did the weaving, I required the help of three artisans to bring my dream into manifestation.  Peter Harvey created the two arching swan heads.  Bob Kinghorn constructed the center frame. Heidi Todd painted the swan scene.&#xD;I was moved by Heidi's painting. This was the moment that I realized I would begin my studies of sumi-e.&#xD;Materials:  The frame and arches are solid cherry wood.  The two upper arches are woven of red pullet rattan.  The painted panels are woven of shave slab rattan.&#xD;Measurements:&#xD;H:   80"&#xD;W:  60"  (20" per panel)&#xD;&#xD;&lt;br/&gt;</description>
