From an old photograph of my mother I chose to draw this picture using shades of French Gray to add to the look of an old picture. The title comes from the poem about the spider and the fly, when I first came across the photo I was struck with the weblike pattern that the vines made across the porch and how ironic the innocent looking figure was standing along side such a twisted mess covering the porch.
