Statement

I have been sitting with a senior University of Minnesota art student, Carl de la Cova, at Hard Times Cafe, watching him use fine-pointed colored pens to make a drawing of insects, plants, and psychedelic swirls of metalic and fluorescent colors. I told Carl that I would try to make psychedelic swirls with Photoshop, and I created Twirl Painting 1.
