“Spring Romance”, (20x14 in.) unframed original $1800.00
With the setting sun painting everything in a golden glow on this truly remarkable spring day of May 20, 2005, a pair of hooded mergansers swims across a pond near our northeastern Minnesota cabin. This is the 2nd year in a row that my hopes were raised in anticipation that the wood duck house I put up would finally have residents. But after about 3 weeks the mergansers left, deciding that the harsh winter 3 years ago that “froze out” the pond also took the once abundant minnow population with it
