Broadway Melody , a large tote/overnight/handbag recreates in a whimsical way the aesthetic manner of the Broadway theatre district of New York City. Reds and blacks feature the Broadway theatre scene beginning with the base of the bag in black and at the lower base in white and black are piano keys running across the lower bottom and three inches down from the top (another set of piano keys). The front edges of this tote depict a theatre marquis and then the body of the bag is Broadway streets and lights with wool yarns felted together with hundreds of sequins knitted along with the wool and felted together to create the illusion of Broadway in the evening lights of New York City streets and as the bag's theme continues into the top we see the pinks and purples of the Broadway lights reflected in the evening sky. Two beautiful vintage fashion buttons continue the Broadway theatre theme and it continues with a beautiful gold and black I CORD running through the top edge with gold and black twisted I CORD loops which come over the edge to catch the two lovely vintage buttons. A three inch gold tone vintage pin of three dancers continues the Broadway Melody theme in the top right corner. The interior has two large pockets continuing the theme colors and the needlepoint foamcore base is covered with glitzy sequined fabric for strength, durability and beauty. Such, fun, folly and fantastic whimsy creates this theme and makes one say: "Shall we dance"?
