Statement

This is a scrim created to be placed over a window. I used five of the plastic light covers found over flourescent lights in schools or hospitals. I found them in the dump at my college. I cleaned the peices, drilled holes and strung them together. I then used a Sharpie and black ink to copy the picture after blowing it up in photoshop. The peice is about four feet wide by five feet high. I did an acrylic wash over the entire thing and added ginko leaves using purple onion skins. Last I sealed it with spray acrylic. It's now hanging in my bedroom. The light changes throughout the day and looks completely different all the time.
