Statement

This text is a paraphrase of Psalm 8.
This painting was inspired by the Shields River Valley in Montana. The Crazy Mountain Range forms the backdrop in this view. The stunning yellow-gold of the aspens quivering in the breeze under the fall sun, clear skies and dark evergreens; the moose loping along the Shields River Road, the early fall sprinkling of snow on the mountains giving their contours a little more definition; the family of grouse and pheasants; the call of the coyotes; the gathering of antelope and deer in late afternoon to munch on the shorn grain fields; observing the radiant color display of sunset; watching a storm moving across this broad valley bordered by 4 other mountain ranges... all bring a sense of awe at the wonder and splendor of the One who created all.
