Statement

This Raku bottle (41/2"x9") is slab built with a thrown spout added. The image is actually carved into the piece (there is a female figure reaching down on the other side of the pot). A copper glaze was painted into the figures and a clear glaze applied over the entire surface. The glaze crackles on the surface are some of my favorite because they are amazingly part of the composition as though I had painstakingly drawn each one in the exact position I had wanted. Happy Raku creation!
