I immediately saw the potential of the tomato cage as a light shade. The base was inspired by a parking meter.
This piece was my first effort at combining pottery and furniture.

This piece was featured in the first edition of "Graphis: Products by Design" in 1994 along with the Mazda Miata. That was enough for me.
