This play was written and directed by Sharon Lanza, based on the myth of Orpheus. I played a tree. I found my costume in the alley, on the way to tech rehearsal. Someone had thrown away a fake tree plant. I brought it, and the axe we needed as a prop to the theatre. There, in the alley, I attempted to chop the trunk of the plastic tree. It was difficult for me, but luckily an old Polish homeless lady walked by, took the axe from me, and chopped the trunk in one chop. Then she said something in Polish that I took to mean she had done much of that activity in the old country.
