Inspried by the impressionist painters a 40" over-the shoulder strap & a 6x8 " felted bag became my 'canvas' for a Van Gogh sunflower still life. Van Gogh began painting a series of sunflower oils in 1888. Sunflowers were his flower of choice. He wanted to decorate his studio with sunflowers. A series of Van Gogh paintings in 1888 is identified only as 'Sunflowers'. This knitted/felted/embroidered/needlefelted/beaded bag is lovely & fun. A wet felted ball is attached to the zippered closure & the fashion fabric lining coordinates with the colors in the stilllife. Enjoy my attempt at a Van Gogh still life-'Sunflowers'.
