The Road to Emmaus … print
I wanted to bring out the sense of journey and meeting Jesus on the way, so put the introductory words of this text into a path.
There are many profound passages. I chose a minor emphasis on ‘do you not know” and the major emphasis and focus on ‘were not our hearts burning within us’. The 'were not our hearts burning within us' is refering to the hearts of the men with Jesus that day. They realized they were slow to recognize the presence and person of Christ that day. The sturdy letters with an overlay of the large but delicate word 'hearts' give flourish, contrast and a visual interpretation to the word 'burning'.

For extra reading related to this text from Luke 24: 13-25, I would recommend Henri Nouwen’s book, With Burning Hearts.

Available as a Giclée print, 9 x 14 or 12 x 17, the image can also be customized proportionately to fit a larger or smaller frame.

Wow!!!! now thats a lot of work and creativity. It is so visually musical. I could see harp music floating through the words, hues and swirling colors.
Blessings as you show it.
