Excerpt panel from Floodland.
A few months after Katrina, not to mention Mr. Gore's film, I began thinking of a story coming from the chilling prediction that devastating storms could become more frequent. Though I only completed four pages, I still have the idea for Floodland in my mind. Two young rescue workers, on a routine salvage mission in a flooded coastal city, discover a small group of children who had been living in the disaster area for months. I might still extend the story, since America still has a way to go in terms of preventing things like this.
