This is a film clip of the dreamachine in action at the Acadia during one of their Experimental Tuesday night shows.

The dreamachine was developed by Brion Gysin and Ian Sommerville in the late 1950's/ early 1960's. It stimulates alpha waves in the brain and is looked at with eyes closed.
