I was faced with a challenge.
How do I participate in an a cappella group who's goal and intent was to sing a piece as one could imagine the composer desired it to be sung? To engage an audience with text and sound woven together, and inspire them to go further past a performance and seek out the textual source, or become en flamed about harmonic singing and all it's potential?
And how the hell do you do it at a Renaissance festival?
Simple.
You build it, they will come. A love child of Shakespeare's text and many a composer's melodies, *including our own*... enriched with the collaboration and immense talent of those I tapped to build such a beasty with me....and wha-la...
Shakespeare's Love Child was born, and reborn, and born again in many -intets...SAB, then SATB, then SAB, then finally SSATB.
All glorious. All meaningful. All joy.
