After 2 paintings and a long hot day, it was a delight to turn around and see a new set of colors, much deeper and richer than the sunsoaked ones I’d been painting. It was my last day on the coast and I was out of sandpaper, but I had a pad of MiTiente paper so I set to work. This coalesced quickly since I had no texture to support the usual layers I use. I just dove right into the color for a fresh, sketchy view.
Original chalk pastel on paper, 9" x 12". Unframed. $150 available from teh artist at laurafrykman@earthlink.net
