The notions of the homunculus, the soul, the mind-body separation, and emotions versus intellect have always bothered me. To date I have found no convincing evidence to support any of these arbitrary separations. I don’t know why we compartmentalize life this way or why we’ve constructed these and numerous other ways bisecting/dissecting and classifying human experience.
