Artist's Statment: My art is modern African furniture and decorative objects inspired by my country, Burkina Faso.

Rabi, an artist from sub Sahara Africa, whose studio and home are now in northeast Minneapolis, created a dynamic simple piece “You of little faith - Matthew 14:31”. His medium is welded steel. The subject is Jesus who holds a hand out to Peter as Peter is about to slip below the surface of the water. While the material is steel his facility with steel makes it like plastic.
