Reviews

Josh likes the speed and immediacy of monotype. The freedom and creative spontaneity of an artist while as a printer his finished work quickly shows the results of experimentation and imagination. Such immediacy occurred when he pulled the print “DISCOVERING DENATURED” from the monotype plate of colored medium that he had flowed together with denatured alcohol.

Josh’s work is abstract. Yet in its spontaneity one viewer of the work said: “You can see how the artist felt the symbolic release of oneself, the discovering of oneself.”
