“Into the Storm”, (20x16 in.) framed original $1600.00
As the 1000’ M/V Oglebay Norton departs Duluth, MN and passes the North Pier Light, darkening skies from a building July 17, 1997 storm paints an ominous image on the horizon. But it’s business as usual as the Oglebay Norton Marine Transportation vessel is downbound with taconite pellets loaded at the Missabe Docks in west Duluth and headed for Nanticoke, Ont. Dealing with harsh weather is a routine affair on the Great Lakes and vessels will only wait out a storm under the severest of conditions.
