Statement

This sculpture honors my Irish ancestors who for over a century farmed in Butterfield Minnesota. When I was a child
I stayed many times with my great uncle Owen on his farm.
In 1981 my great uncle Owen die. He was the last of the farmers in our family. The land was sold and the contact
with the farm gone forever. I was so sad about it I made this
