This series is titled "Window." At first glance, each image is simple and pleasing to the eye. Beyond this simplicity lies a very complex process of thought, emotion, and mood. While creating this initial subject, an image becomes imprinted in my mind and – unprompted – is released onto the paper in the form of a window. A window that captures the story in my mind.
Of late, these stories reflect the emotional reaction to drastic life transitions: a move halfway across the country, a new job; the loss of my mother; relationship trials. Each transition needs its own window.
