This is a strong painting filled with deep bold colors. The painting is an abstracted floral and feels like is rooted and still standing in the garden.
I liked developing the Center of Interest and pushing all the other information to the backburner.
Bold Quilted Tulips was accepted into the 2008 Minnesota Watercolor Society Spring Juried Show "Spring Splash". Fred Somers, juror, Colonial Church of Edina, Edina, MN.
