InMotion will feature performances by Kinetic Evolutions & Christopher Watson Dance Company as well as the choreography of: Sarah LaRose-Holland, Christopher Watson, Lindsay Anderson, Stacy Pottinger and Bryan Gerber.

KINETIC EVOLUTIONS dance company will premiere "Similarly Different" in Plymouth, Minnesota on Saturday February 7th at the St. Barnabas Lutheran Church. "Similarly Different" savors the physicality of movement and contemplates friendship among women. Choreographed by Sarah LaRose-Holland, this new dance work showcases exquisite performances by company members Lindsay Anderson, Stacy Pottinger, Una Setia & Jen Swanson. The dance is comprised of two trios, each capturing its own essence of strength and beauty while delving into the grounded solidarity of female friendship and support. Don't miss your chance to see what Kinetic Evolutions has been crafting with both new and seasoned company members for the February performances!

The CHRISTOPHER WATSON DANCE COMPANY (CWDC) is known for its wide-ranging repertoire of dances including those that are lyrical and romantic, humorous and raucous, or more subtle and abstract. CWDC will perform excerpts from a vigorous new work for four women set to the hear-pounding rhythms of Savage Aural Hotbed, a Minneapolis-based percussion ensemble. A soulful dance to a concerto by J. S. Bach and Panorama, a popular piece choreographed to an elegant score by Paul Savant, are also included in the program.

In LINDSAY ANDERSON's duet "H2O" dancers Lindsay Anderson and Jennifer Swanson converge with the sea to explore the ebb and flow relationship of waves and the submerged currents that guide their motions. The dancers advance and retreat, lull and tumble, and ultimately recycle themselves like waves pulling moments of their terrestrial experience into the sea like grains of sand stolen from the shore.

Many years of being in, around, and witnessing choreography has made me a picky observer. If something isn’t quality, it’s harder for me to watch. This being said, I really liked each and every piece on the program. All the movements seemed meaningful and well-done.
