Statement

 Julian of Norwich, c.1443, considered one of the greatest English mystics, wrote Revelations of Divine Love, based on 16 visions of Jesus. She claims she was ‘unlearned’ but her writings show great depth of insight. Christian mysticism is based on grace: the indwelling of the Trinity in the soul of mankind, a divine call to holiness & exquisite joy in God. She stressed that all is held in being by the love of God.
