The jurors were asked to select best works in the Show based on their artistic quality (the message of the work is uninterrupted by the work’s medium). The jurors selected contemporary American spiritual art that is honest, simple, and thoughtful. They selected works created with a clear eyed sense of reverence. Works that are an honest, without airs or pretence, whose strength is in their gift of simplicity, a gift that makes one free.
